This course is for all personnel involved in testing fresh concrete. ASTM C94 and ACI 301 require technicians to have demonstrated an ability equivalent to ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician-Grade I certification.
A Quality Control Technician (QCT) performs testing of fresh Portland cement concrete including sampling, concrete temperature, slump, unit weight, air content, and fabrication of specimens for strength testing and performs other duties including calculating cement content and water-cement ratio as required by specifications.
