DESCRIPTION:ODOT QCT Certification Class – ODOT QCT Registration – April 4-5\, 2024 – Pendleton\, OR\nDETAILS \n\nThe exam is a 90-minute open book exam with a passing grade of 80%.\nThose successfully completing the ODOT examination and the ACI written and performance exams will be certified for work on ODOT projects.\nThis certification expires on the same date as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1.\n\nThis is a special segment designed by ODOT as a supplemental to the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1\, for certification to work on state projects. \nA QCT performs testing of fresh Portland cement concrete including: \n\nSampling\nConcrete Temperature\nSlump\nUnit Weight\nAir Content\nFabrication of specimens for strength testing\n\nPerforms other duties required by specifications: \n\nCalculating cement content and water-cement ratio.\n\nA half-day review\, with the exam given the next morning\, is sponsored by OCAPA in cooperation with Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Individuals will need to be familiar with water-cement ratio worksheets and be able to navigate the following ODOT manuals : \n\n>Manual of Field Testing Procedures\n>Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction – 2021 (Brown Book)\n\nThese manuals are NOT available through OCAPA but can be purchased through the ODOT website (click link or copy & paste these in your browser): \nMFTP books –https://www.oregon.gov/odot/Construction/Pages/Manual-of-Field-Test-Procedures.aspx \n2021 Standard Specifications – The 2021 Oregon Specifications must be purchased through an outside vendor.
